The company name '398 Productions Unlimited' provides an umbrella heading under which to bring together and unify my various activities. My work spans a diversity of disciplines and approaches including painting, print, drawing, photography, installation and text pieces, and so I felt the need for such a device in order to bring some easily seen coherence to it.

There is in reality no 'company' as such, just me, working on my own, like most artists in a DIY way.  '398' is my house number and has no significance beyond the fact that it is where the work is made. I simply felt that, apart from the parodic 'business' reference, it had a nice ring to it.  I also enjoyed devising an attractive logo for a non-existent company
